MR SCRUFF HIP-HOP PAUSE TAPE MIX 1992
Here is a great old school pause tape style mixtape done by Mr Scruff back in 1992. I'll let him say the rest below..
This is one side of a mix tape that was sold in Manchester's Funky Banana record shop in 1992. I only did 20 copies, so it is about time that more people heard this mix! This was done using 2 decks, a mixer & pause button edits on a cassette deck. Old School vibes!
Here is an 'almost complete' track listing..as i did the mix 18 years ago, and my memory isn't what it used to be, there are a few elusive tracks that escaped identification. Any help is appreciated, so if you know any of the missing tracks, let me know!

50/50 GRIME & UK BASS PARTY FEAT TEDDY MUSIC (UK) @ LAUNDRY
It begins!! 50/50 is here and for its launch we have a very special guest lined up. A man responsible for producing the 2011 remake of ‘Pow’, arguably one of grimes most influential and important tunes in the scene today. Originally going under the name of Silencer, we bring you none other then the man himself, Teddy Music. Anyone who knows grime will be aware of his ‘Wow Bass Level’ releases, a collection of thumping snare hits, repetitive claps, orchestral hooks and that distinctive bass sound which has proven pivotal in formulating grime music. Teddy has seen many of his productions vocaled by some of the leading mc’s in the game, including P-Money, Lethal Bizzle, Wiley, Skepta, JME and Kozzie to name a few. With a weekly radio show on rinse.fm and a consistent release schedule (probably more so then any other producer), Teddy is one of the, if not the most hard working figure behind the sound of grime.
